Express Food Plaza at Kolaghat is a great place to stop by on the highway for a delicious meal. It is located just beside Sher E Punjab dhaba, and it has a huge open space with a nice ambiance. The decor is impressive, with a steam engine near the entrance, movie posters, and truck rear ends. The washroom is also clean.
The staff is friendly and efficient, and they provide quick service. The menu has a wide variety of items, including butter masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, cholle bhature, grilled chicken sizzler, tomato soup, chicken hakka noodles, mushroom masala, chicken reshmi butter masala, tawa roti, masala kulcha, veg pulao, icecream - strawberry, chocolate and butter scotch, and ras malai. All these items were tasty and satisfying.
The only downside was that tipping was encouraged even after paying the bill. Overall, Express Food Plaza is a great place to enjoy a hearty meal after a long drive, and I would recommend it to anyone travelling through this route.

I recently visited Kolaghat Express Food Plaza, one of the largest restaurants in the Kolaghat region, for lunch. My experience was a mix of positives and a few drawbacks. Food Quality: Decent overall. Some dishes were really good, while others fell short. Ambience: Absolutely beautiful, with a spacious and pleasant setup. Staff Behavior: Quite good and courteous. Parking: Plenty of space, so no issues there. Pricing: Slightly on the premium side. Overall, it’s a good place to stop by, but food quality can be a hit or miss. Would recommend for the ambience and convenience! (4/5) Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
