The only thing good about Emily was that you get to stay in a 150+ year old villa in Nainital, and enjoy its quintessential charms. But the experience is all downhill from there. The service is horrendously slow. We stayed for 2 days. On the first we got our complimentary breakfast served around 11.30AM, that too after requesting for umpteen times. The next day, it was served so late that we almost missed our taxi to Kathgodam. Even on asking something as basic as drinking water, we were made we wait around 45 minutes. Imagine you waking up in the morning and not having drinking water!! The property faces frequent power outages, but they don’t have proper backup. Only 1 dim bulb will work. And you need to wait indefinitely for power to return. I went there with very high hopes, having booked the property via MMT in December, 2024. Paid around 8000/- for 2 nights stay. In return, all you get is poor service and damp rooms. Better to avoid. Service: 1
