This place is everything that can bring you close to a fairytale. From their exquisite decor, rustic charm and scrumptious food - I love coming over to Elma's to escape from the chaotic city life.
They have great sandwiches, soups and salads. Their roasted pumpkin soup, chicken sandwich and watermelon salad with feta cheese are to die for.
Go their on a relaxed afternoon or perhaps a balmy evening for a soulful experience.
We came to Elma's at Good Earth , coz we had memories of it from Hauz Khas Village. We liked the food...but the service was PATHETIC. They had only one steward attending to the entire place....not properly trained... We got plates...well not all of us... Cutlery was given to only half of us...they couldn't tell us what was there and what wasn't....if one thing was ordered....the waiter...disappeared before we could complete the rest of the order....we ordered the high tea....and after half an hour of ordering they came and told us the scones weren't there...then they substituted it with a cake...because they gave us the cake they took off some of the other finger desserts....so we were left hungry...none of the food came together...there was always someone at the table looking at our face as we ate ..our bill took half an hour to come to our table....overall...quite a disappointing experience ...especially for us who are visiting the city...
