Need to improve more on service and . Most important : the light should be upgraded and put like generator backup .

I had the pleasure of staying at El Dorado Guest House twice—once in July 2024 and again in July 2025—and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a peaceful and cozy atmosphere after a day of exploring Shillong. The washrooms are very clean, and hot water is always available, which adds to the overall comfort of the stay. Booking a room was also very easy. I booked a room for 6 days with just a phone call, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful throughout the process. The food deserves a special mention—it's not only delicious but also always served on time. I never faced any difficulty in ordering, and the service was smooth and hassle-free every single time. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Their polite and courteous behavior made me feel right at home. They’re always ready to help with a warm smile, which really enhances the overall experience. El Dorado Guest House has become my go-to accommodation in Shillong, and I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this beautiful city!
