A Solid Pan-Asian Experience with Room to Grow. Eight offers a decent selection of Pan-Asian cuisine, hitting some high notes while occasionally stumbling. My recent visit left me with a generally positive impression, though a few inconsistencies prevented it from being truly exceptional. The atmosphere is pleasant, with dim lighting, modern decor, traditional touches. It creates a relaxed and vibrant environment, suitable for a casual dinner with friends, a family meal, a date night. For our main courses, we tried the King Prawn Tempura Uramaki and the Kastu Fried Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. The Uramaki was satisying and while the flavors were generally good and it was beautifully presented sushi. The Kastu Fried Chicken, on the other hand, was also beautifully presented and proved to be the less successful of the three, with fresh and flavorful chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was kind of a letdown in terms of taste and presentation. Service was attentive, friendly, efficient] for the most part so no complaints there. Overall, Eight offers a worthwhile Pan-Asian dining experience. The menu is diverse enough to cater to different tastes, and there are some genuinely delicious dishes to be found. With a little more attention to detail and consistency, particularly in the kitchen this restaurant has the potential to become a real gem. I would recommend it for those looking for a casual Pan-Asian meal, but with the caveat that it's not quite perfect.
