Nicely cooked buffalo chicken, omelettes and sandwiches can make a deep impression on you. Order great masala chai, coffee or lemonade. If you look through the guests' comments, the staff is gracious at this cafe. Cool service is something visitors agree upon here. The reviews of Egg Stop mention the fine decor as a big benefit.
One AC, and it’s not enough. As the customers keep crowding so is the temperature starts soaring.
The Eggstop Dishes are as good as awesome . The Frys Burger was a decent one as well.
Not much so exciting but it’s a good one at that location.
The Egg Stop looks cute and appealing and wildly beckoned the egg lover in me as I love eggs, specially for breakfast. The place is well-located at NH47, with good amount of parking space. A neat and clean place, it is a double delight for those who love the colour yellow (like me :D).
As expected, the menu threw up an array of egg items, led by a range of omelettes, followed by burgers and rolls. We ordered Barbecue Chicken Omelette with toast, Barbecue Chicken Burger, and a cup of tea. The omelette arrived in style - in an adorable egg-shaped yellow plate. The omelette got a thumbs up from my BIL, who enjoyed its thick juicy filling which had a satisfactory amount of chicken. The toast turned out to be soggy and no match for the delicious omelette. Then arrived my burger wrapped in paper. One bite into it and I was overcome with disappointment. The patties were soggy, there was hardly any chicken, the lettuce and tomato slices didn't feel fresh, and the sauce was tasteless. The fires of expectation that raged in my belly were sadly doused by a highly average and stale burger. As for the cup of tea, my BIL abandoned it after the first sip. Beware strong and regular tea lovers! This is a "regular" tea which is made with masala mix; so those who do not like masala chai should refrain from ordering it.
At 7.30 in the morning, the staff did appear a bit sleepy in comprehension (or maybe it was a new and inexperienced recruit). We had also asked for garlic toast but it was unavailable at the time.
Though I had a bad experience personally with what matters the most - the food; I still don't feel like writing off this place. Firstly, the concept is great - a place that specialises in eggs, which would be a great breakfast option. Secondly, the omelette we ordered did turn out well, and so there's hope for equally good ones otherwise. Thirdly, it's a good option for those looking to snack on something near the airport, specially during early mornings, for which I must also point out that at least this outlet was open at 7.30 in the morning (the timings on Zomato show 9.30, and there's another outlet in Kochi). And lastly, it's a fun place decor-wise. I really wish this place improves as it is a great concept and has scope to do well. They should also come up with the option of different kinds of breads done differently to go with the omelettes. Hope to see some excitement soon!
