This place has a impeccable collection of craft beers that will floor you, nor literally, I meant it will have you hit the dance floor in no time. You can also taste an array of cocktails or shots and levitate away from the high chairs. Their LIITs are classic and enticing and the Red Wine Sangrias are dope!
Food is ambrosia here and I'll mention a few of them here:-
King Prawn Tempura- Tempuras are feather-light vegetable or seafood fritters characteristic of Japanese culinary expertise. This style of cooking is the epitome of deep frying with a light feel and these fried finger foods still “manage to be gloriously free of heaviness” as per opinion of food experts. The concept of deep-frying is believed to have been brought to Japan by the Portuguese traders, hence the origin of the word "tempura" may find its roots from the Spanish Témpores or from the Portuguese Têmporas, which refer to the ember days, during which no meat is eaten, or again from the Portuguese word tempêro, meaning 'seasonings'. Strokes of two of the Japanese characters chosen to represent it are inadvertently appropriate to amplify tempura as “A flour-like gauze, or a batter so delicate that it resembles a revealing dress.” Tempura was traditionally fried using sesame oil or tea seed oil but modern variations use commercially available same oil or tea seed but modern variations use commercially available versions. Try it to believe it!
Dynamite Prawns- This epicurean invention of PF Changs has now proliferated all over the globe. Crispy batter fried king prawns sauteed in a mix of mayo and ketchup or mayochup. Very few kitchens have been able to nail it and effingut kucchini is one of them- courtesy Chef Santosh.
Fish n Chips- The pairing of fish and chips has long been considered a British flagship. The luring combination of a load of battered haddock piled up on top of hot chips/ fries is the quintessential British comfort food. Whether spread in a plate on your lap watching TV or gobbled down from a makeshift newspaper cone on the way home from the pub, a meal of fish and chips is like a serving of deep fried nostalgia in London – and let’s not forget a sprinkling of salt and vinegar. It is believed that the dish originated from the fish frying style of Jewish immigrants from Holland(now Netherlands) and Portugal; especially so on the day of the Sabbath(the Jewish holy day). Those times Fish n Chips used to be wrapped in newspapers and sold by the Chippies (small fish n chip stalls/carts) along the river Thames. Effingut uses a beer battered, crunchy fried betki in a bed of fresh fries served aling with tartare dip and garnished with parsley and a sprinkle of salt and vinegar.
