Both Ward's Lake and EC Restaurant are recommended for visiting. At this restaurant, clients may order perfectly cooked chicken, pork and pizza. Among the drinks, there is delicious coffee.

Imagine a combination of great dishes and the competent staff, this is exactly what EC Restaurant provides you with. The terrific service is something these restaurateurs care about. The peaceful atmosphere gladdens visitors and attracts more guests. But google users rated this place and it didn't gain a high rating.

Teriyaki Ramen - Rs.315/- The Eee Cee Restaurant, Police Bazaar, Shillong Chinese, Continental, Indian & Far East $$$ 14.04.25 A couple of weeks back after watching a few wonderful looking new restaurants & cafes opening up one after the other, it dawned on me on why not also cover some wonderful looking restaurants & cafes carrying some history. The Eee Cee Restaurant was the first to come to mind. It is one of the oldest running restaurant (67 years old) in the city. Growing up in the mid 90s meant it was always a treat stepping into Eee Cee Restaurant. Else it was usually Delhi Mistan or Regal for the weekend Police Bazaar runs. The restaurant is attached to a Hotel, a Club & a Bakery as well. All legends in their own right. I've not eaten here in decades. But I've been hearing good new things about it in the last few years. Last week I did make an attempt on Sunday but it was closed. So I'm here today. And for their Ramen. This is the 1st time I'm trying Ramen here. I was looking forward to it thanks to the rainy weather & it's been more than 2 months since I had my last bowl of Ramen as well. So I ordered a bowl of Teriyaki Ramen. The lady took my order & returned back after 15mins. In the meantime I was happy to notice that a few locals as well as tourists were coming in to dine. My order arrived & it had a nice bowl of Ramen noodles, the noodles seemed different from what I usually see in town. Perhaps they were made inhouse or even atta noodles. That was one feature that immediately got me attracted to my order. The bowl of noodles were swimming in a teriyaki based broth along with shredded chicken with red peppers, sauted mushrooms, slices of lemon, spring onions & a Jammy Egg. Along with the bowl of Ramen came another plate consisting of small bowls of peanuts, fried garlic, crisps, juliennes, soya sauce & another sauce which I guess was fish sauce. I added some of the condiments to the bowl of Ramen & took a bite. The noodles had a unique shape & texture which was made the bite very pleasant. The teriyaki based broth was the next thing that caught my senses. It held everything together in a fine balance. The shredded chicken was cooked well & didn't have awkward strands of meat. The mushrooms added more texture to each bite while the lemon gave it some zest & freshness was brought in by the spring onions. The Jammy Egg immersed itself into the broth. The juliennes, fried garlic, peanuts & the sauces all danced in rhythm to long strands on noodles, each playing their role in unison. I did not felt it right to leave even a morsel of such a good bowl. Infact I drank the broth to the last drop. This was such a satisfying moment. And it felt more fulfilling coming from the fact that this sexagenarian place which is like an institution could still deliver so well. The clean yet attractive ambience added to the experience. The service held this place like a fort. Overall this place is still a double thumbs up from my end. We ordered plenty of items but the ones that stood out were the chili prawns, roast pork momo, chicken momo and the thai grilled pork. Really good food at such a reasonable price. Also we would like to thank a staff named Ksanborlang who was kind enough to accomodate us even though the restaurant was about to close. If it weren't for him we wouldn't be able to taste the this amazing food as we were scheduled to leave Shillong the next day! Would recommend Ee Cee to all my friends and family.
