Nahargarh Fort is what you should see after having a meal at Padao Restaurant. Indian food will be what you are offered to degust at this cafe. Order good causa, roti and roasted chicken. Delicious wine, liqueur or beer will make your meal even more delicious and you'll certainly come back. Based on the guests' opinions, waiters serve great juice, masala chai or cold coffee.
The great location of Padao Restaurant makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. A number of people highlight that the waitstaff is courteous at this place. Guests say that the service is professional here. Many visitors suppose that prices are adequate for what you get. This spot with the lovely ambiance can be a good dining place on your route. The only USP about Padao restaurant is it's location overlooking Jaipur city. We went at night around 9pm and the cool breeze felt comfortable. Coming to the food, it wasn't a great experience. We ordered a couple of veg sandwiches (honestly homemade ones are far better), french fries, chicken tikka and cold coffee (being a coffee connoisseur, I can say with fact that it was made from milk powder). All this for 900/- which is not worth the quality of food. Next we were charged 50/- for parking ticket (which makes no sense) and a separate 52/- per person ticket for entry inside Navargarh Fort (fair enough). But there is a separate 100/- per person charge for entering Padao restaurant. When enquired later with the waiter he brought out that it was a deterence against crowd and customers can get 02 water bottles/ tea/ coffee/ cold drinks complimentary (this was not told at the Padao Gate and we got to know just because we enquired about the rationale of charging 200/- bucks). The area can be a lot cleaner as being a restaurant and bar, there were paper napkins, ciggerate butts, matchboxes and general garbage strewn around the tables. Like I said the only USP is the city view, which frankly you can get from the approach road to Nahargarh, provided you know the spot. Overall it's not as worth as advertised. If you are looking for a glass of beer or a couple of drinks while sitting on a mountain then this restaurant may be looked into.
