Visited Downtown Restro, Rajkot and had a very inconsistent experience. The Pad Thai in hoisin sauce was genuinely excellent — well-balanced, flavourful, and clearly executed with care. That dish truly stood out. The Caramelle in fresh cream tomato sauce was average and lacked seasoning and depth. However, the Burmese Khao Suey was extremely disappointing and needs serious review. It did not resemble Khao Suey in any way — neither in flavour profile nor in preparation. Instead of a coconut-based Burmese curry with layered flavours and traditional accompaniments, it tasted like a standard Punjabi paneer vegetable gravy. There was no authenticity, no balance, and none of the defining elements one expects from this dish. When a restaurant serves global cuisine, authenticity and accuracy are not optional — they are essential. I strongly recommend the management revisit the recipe and execution of this dish, as it does not align with the expectations set by the menu. I would specially like to say only few words about this Restuarant to all the peoples out there whether in rajkot or coming from different parts of country . Just Take out some time from ur buzy schedule and Go to this Restuarant With Friendz Families Or even If u r alone in rajkot . U will definately get that sense of happiness after entering the restuarant . The vibe the environment the food the taste the staff politeness in speaking towards the customers its All Absolutely Amazing and wonderfull . Seriously I am not here to advertise for this restuarant . what i saw and feel the experience was great . Good Ambience . TO DOWNTOWN RESTRO CAFE OWNER .
