31 years ago in 1991 they started the trend of burgers in the cultural capital of Karnataka - Mysuru. The signature burgers at downtown cafe were started with homemade buns, homemade mayonnaise and home made patties. Almost everything in the burger was and is till date home made.
The buns exude a rare warmth, soft and melt in the mouth - toasted to perfection with sesame playing hide and seek once in a while.
Downtown is known across the city for its top class mayonnaise... They make only one kind of mayo and its fantastic... Beyond words. One wouldn't feel heavy and slacky after having the half an inch thick coating of mayo on the burger.
Lovely subtly flavored patties form the core of the burger. And all this combine to create an absolute magic. This isn't the run of the mill burgers made with goodies supplied by frozen cold chains. This is a fresh burger... And deserves all the love. One can order potato chips and Pepsi on the side as there are no meals.
Next time u wish to have a legendary, fresh burger... Drop into downtown in Mysuru for a treat.
