You can go to this restaurant if you appear to be near Leh Royal Palace. Many guests point out that the staff is courteous at this place. Fine service is something visitors appreciate here. When you enter this place, you feel the cool atmosphere. But Dogra kitchen is not highly estimated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

It's really too bad that I discovered this place on my last day in Leh! I would've loved to try more items from their extensive menu. Anyhow, next time I'm in Leh, I'm visiting this restaurant again. The food was exceptional, and so beautifully presented. Also, the ambience and service are great: they are really all about pleasing the customer, which makes for a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is right in the center of Leh Market, but it's in the basement level, which is why it didn't catch my eye before now (what a pity!). The food here is a lot better, and with a lot more variety and choices, than some of the more popular food places around here that are on street level and so more easily noticed. They have free wifi and restrooms, both of which are essential as a traveller in Leh. (And it seems they have a sister establishment at another location in Leh, which I'll be sure to visit next time I'm visiting.) 5 stars Edit: I'm back in Leh, now in August 2023, after my June 2023 trip... And I'm back at this restaurant to try out other items from their menu. I noticed that the prices have gone up a bit since June (as is the case with most other restaurants!!). The Dogra Kitchen has a good location in the heart of Leh's Main Market, so it's easily accessible for any hungry tourist, except it's in the basement of a mall, without any views or opportunities for people-watching. So, if you're in a group you're fine. If you're a solo traveller, you could still dine in peace, if you aren't too interested in food with a view. The menu is eclectic, covering a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in Italian, Indian, Continental and Chinese/Tibetan cuisine. I was dying to have Indian food after a long time. So, I ordered a sweet lassi, rajmah masala and a lacchedar paratha. The sweet lassi could've been thicker and in a bigger glass, given the price. The rajmah masala and lacchedar paratha was just about right. The premises are new and clean. There's a funky wooden plank ceiling, which gives the restaurant some colour. The wooden floor is a plus. The walls unfortunately have a cold, brick look (in chilly Leh!!!), not helped by several prominent plastic plants all around the restaurant. The Dogra Kitchen, is a new sister eatery of the long-standing and much loved Dogra Dhaba, which has been around in sweet Leh since 1985. I'm sure they'll get the food and the ambience right soon. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Dietary restrictions: The gluten-allergic will find several rice dishes on the menu. The vegans will have to check with the stewards, as butter and cream can easily be excluded from the final vegetarian dish they may order.
