A crazy name for an eatery, that too in Gujarat. Reminded me of my hometown of Mumbai! It also looked quite inviting for some reason so went in. It's run by an old uncle, who I was skeptical about serving well but he made some yummy burgers and cold coffee!
The place is small with just 4 tables, but with really comfy royal blue sofas. There are some minimal food related photo frames hanging on the walls, and the menu is a decent assortment of fast food dishes.
Started with some VADA PAU (and not pav for some reason!) as I was feeling home sick. Again, I did not have much expectations from the Vada pav but it was good. I mean, really good! The Vada was freshly fried and crispy, with lip-smacking khatta meetha imli chutney, butter and onion slices on the side. Almost perfect!! It was just missing some sukha chutney and it would have been perfect! But this was super yummy too!
DOUBLE TIKKI BURGER - Generally burgers with just one aloo tikki tend to be too dry for my taste, thus 2 patties do the trick. The burger was a delightfully simple preparation, with double tikkis, some onions and tomatoes and cheese. All in perfect proportions, along with butter bread. Another really tasty dish.
Ended the meal with a decent enough COLD COFFEE.
In my next visit I tried out their CHEESE GARLIC BREAD. It was quite cheesy, with a nice amount of cheese sauce on the bread and then topped with grated cheese. Though I would have liked some more of the garlic flavour which it was lacking, but still a nice dish.
AMERICAN CHEESE SUPREME FRANKIE - This roll looked a bit petty, being quite small and almost flat, but the cheesy taste it offered was seriously next level! The warm cheese just unfurls across all your taste buds. The ingredients seems very similar to the garlic bread, with some added veggies. Another enjoyable preparation from their kitchen.
DHAKKA MUKKI seems to be growing brand of value for money and really tasty snacks, and I wish them all the best in this endeavour! They are really good at what they are offering and there's no reason for them to be not loved by all!
There is no taste in food. Aloo tikki is very much over cooked, it's almost burnt. First time ordered from this restaurant. But it's the worst experience. They have delayed this order also but tasteless food.
