I visited Darlings for my birthday yesterday, and the customer service was absolutely pathetic. I had booked a table two to three weeks in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable evening, but from the very beginning, it was a nightmare. Starting in the morning, the restaurant staff repeatedly called me to remind me that our table was only reserved for two hours and that we would have to leave promptly at 10 PM for another reservation. This constant harassment was completely unacceptable and made me feel rushed before I had even arrived. Why would they expect a customer to finish their meal in two hours and leave? I booked my table well in advance precisely so I wouldn't have to worry about a wait or a time limit. It makes no sense that they would take another reservation when they already had one for that time slot. It felt like they were pressuring us to finish as quickly as possible, and it completely ruined the celebratory mood. When I finally reached the restaurant, I was a little late due to the heavy traffic from the Puja season. On my birthday, of all days, they informed me that my booking had been canceled and that they could not provide me with a table. They told me I would have to stand and wait. When I asked why they had canceled my reservation, they claimed they had called me multiple times and no one picked up. That's simply not true—I have the call logs to prove it. They only called me once. To make matters worse, the two ladies at the reservation table were completely unprofessional. They had no politeness or kindness, which is the bare minimum one would expect on their birthday. The entire experience was terrible, and the staff's behavior was appalling.
