The lamb was tough in texture, overcooked and over medium. The cuisine is rich in North Indian selections but the authenticity is somewhat amiss. The flavours are bland and need to be worked upon. The dishes have unusual names- after some English officers of East Indian Company but they are just a fancy nomenclature of cuisine that’s otherwise Mughlai. The service and hospitality is decent and the interiors are also pleasant to look at. You can try Chicken based dishes - they tasted soft and succulent.

Imperial Hotel : comes under one of the 5 star hotels of delhi. Ambience, food and service over there is luxurious.
There are many restaurants under Imperial Hotel. I went to Daniell’s Tavern at the Imperial Hotel.
Food offered by them is very fine and good in taste with the touch of their special flavours. Sophisticated place with great service and modern vibe. If you ever going there than you must try their deserts specially matka kulfi.

We normally go to spice route in imperial, it is one of our all time favourite restaurant . We have tried 1911 a few times but prefer spice route anyway . Today we had a few cocktail at the patiala peg , imperial bar and then headed for Daniel Tavern . I must say the food was very average . There was an Indian singer , who sang old Hindi Bollywood song . Sang well but who wants chaudhvi ka Chand ! We ordered some Bengali cuisine , Dhokar Dalna , chorcori and chingri malai curry . All three dish were far from original. I do not recommend the restaurant at all!
