Tried DFC Biryani in Cuttack and honestly very disappointed. The biryani had barely any proper chicken pieces, and the rice had no real flavour—just a strong elaichi taste throughout. It didn’t feel like biryani at all. Even street vendors serve much better biryani than this. The kachumbar was also disappointing—basically just watery with no freshness or taste. The highlight here is the chicken biryani, which is aromatic, mildly spiced, and served with tender chicken pieces. Another must-try is the poda chicken – roasted in a traditional smoky style that adds a rich, earthy flavor. Mutton biryani and egg biryani are also on the menu, though the mutton could be better in terms of tenderness and spice balance. What makes DFC special is the generous quantity, reasonable pricing (₹150–200 per plate), and the humble service by Dada himself, who is known for his friendly behavior and quick rice refills upon request.
