I stayed at Dass Regency, Thrissur, and overall the stay was pretty decent the rooms and facilities were satisfactory for the price. However, I faced a serious issue at the time of checkout which completely changed my impression of the place. While settling the bill, I encountered what I can only describe as fraudulent billing practices. It wasn’t just a mistake, but something that seemed like it has been happening for a while, since the staff had a ready justification for the extra charges. This left me very disappointed and questioning their integrity. I will be approaching the concerned authorities regarding this, but for anyone planning to stay here please be extremely careful when paying your bill. Double-check every detail before making the payment, because things may not be as straightforward as they appear. It’s unfortunate because the stay itself was decent, but this billing issue overshadowed the entire experience. The least I would have expected was the owner to call and talk to me because he is the one to be held responsible rather than staff apologising and pleading guilty.
