Its my first time in this outlet.. We went there at 12:30pm & waited almost 35/40 minutes.. Then they served us food. Starters were nice. But we found hair on the mutton piece.. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Tried D Bapi Biriyani for the first time, and the experience was really good. The biriyani was flavourful and beautifully prepared. It had the perfect blend of spices and dum, that makes a biriyani flourish in its essence. We had - Chicken Malai Tikka - perfectly cooked chicken, topped off with a blend of malai and molten cheese. Tasteful, succulent. Perfect start. Price - 190/- ( 6 pieces) Chicken Biriyani - The portion is more than enough if you are somebody of average appetite. Can easily be shared with two people. The chicken and potato were of good size as well. Price - 228/- Mutton Biriyani - The portion was more than enough for two people of average appetite. Size of the mutton was good at the price point. Price - 323 /- Special Mutton Biriyani - Served with two mutton and two potatoes, but here's the catch, the rice portion is a little less for two people. We had to order extra rice, which they serve free of cost . Pairing it with the extra rice makes it a good size portion for two people. Both the mutton pieces were of really good sizes ( more than 150 gms ). Price - 590 /- Mutton Liver - Nothing special, maybe not at par with the mutton liver fry that was once a hallmark of Dada - Boudi. Average at best. Price - 200 /- ( 8 pieces ) Overall, a very good biriyani place. It was my first time being there and it might have become my new favorite place to have Biriyani. At a time when Dada-Boudi's biriyani is on a steady decline for the last couple of years, D Bapi has come up as a solid alternative in Kolkata. Good ambience, very well behaved staff and a perfect value for money Biriyani. The prices were really affordable. The food quality is decent, not extraordinary. The biryani, for which it is famous for, was just average. Other restaurants make better biryani than this. The crispy chicken lollipop was really tasty though. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
