Went here last Sunday, they made us wait for 15 mins before alloting is the table. Later even for a water we had to keep requesting them, nobody even bothered to pour us some water after keeping the glasses, and comes the part where we need to order food, we were waiting someone to take order after many requests a person came, as soon as the order was placed in a very rude tone he replied it will take 15 mins. We were fine with that, and even after 20 mins the order didn't come. And then comes the manager says they cant provide us food because of the power shut. So we have just wasted 40 mins of our Sunday afternoon on this hotel. And we had to return hungry with kids and the time now is 2.40 !!! I don't think I will prefer this place again !! I visited here yesterday, Compared with other branches this branch doesn’t have taste and atmosphere. I liked copper kitchen biriyani much But here it tasted like bland one and ordered 1050 plater and really really it doesn’t worth. Food taste and Atmosphere is really poor here compared with other copper kitchen branches. Looks they add soda powder in marination we had little food only , But it felt heavy after having hot water it was ok. Please improve taste and atmosphere like other branches. Camp Road branch felt really Good in Taste. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹600–800

Copper Kitchen is one of those few restaurants in chennai that are on my frequent visiting list and this outlet of kotturpuram is one of their latest ones...Situated right opposite to Anna Centenary Library and is quite hard to miss..Parking is limited and i guess they do have valet for cars but bikes need to suffice with roadside parking..Copper Kitchen is mostly familiar for arabian food but actually their USP are the south indian items..The Service is decent with captains or mangers being quite efficient with kind and polite attitude..However the servers need a bit of training..Given Below are the list of items we tried and my take on them..Madurai Uppu Kari (rs325) : A famous dish from Madurai and a part of the chettinad cuisine was beautifully incorporated here..Though less use of spices this was a blast of taste and flavors..Salted mutton was wonderfully sauteed with garlic and onions..Meat was so juicy and succulent..Must try item..Noorani Chicken Tikka (rs305) : This is a stuffed chicken tikka..The meat was so soft and tender and had a filling which is a secret but IMO it consisted of herbs along with minced meat and butter..perfectly cooked in a tandoor and topped with some cheese..Loved it..Tandoori Fish : This is priced as per the size of the fish with options to choose from red snapper or pomfret and also can be marinated with either red, white or green masala..We ordered a Red marinate Red Snapper..The Fish was really well cooked to an extent that it was easy to remove from the bones..The Tandoori red marinade was really well done with flavors well absorbed..Tandoori Prawn (rs495) : Another good dish which consists of 10 pieces of small prawns(5 if tiger prawns)..The Prawns were fresh and well marinated and cooked..Spicy and lip-smackingly good..Corn Tartlets (rs200) : Corn cooked with spices served in rice cup of sorts..The Filling was spicy and the taste was tangy and really good..The crispy rice cups provided the needed crispness...Non - Veg Tandoori Platter : A platter consisting of many varieties of tandoori grilled meat in one plate..Consisting of 3 types of of tikka kebabs like Hariyali, malai and normal chicken tikka, Tandoori chiken, Sheek kebab Prawns etc..Each and every item in the platter had a distinct taste and was well cooked..Must try if you are 4-5+ ppl...Chettinad Kari Virundhu : A platter of sorts for 2 ppl..Starts of with 2 helpings of soup of the day..Ours was a Mutton Nenjuelumbu soup which was spicy and really good..Followed by flavored rice topped with goat shoulder cooked in chettinad gravy and served with couple of naans..The Taste of the rice and gravy itself was good but sadly the meat hadn't seeped in the flavors and was quite bland inside..Kozi Dejaj (rs265) : One thing these ppl are constant is the consitency and distinct taste of arabian rices..The Perfectly charcoal grilled chicken topped on a flavorful rice along with loads of cashews is a must try here...served with spicy sauce and veggies..Must try for sure...Kizhi Paratha (rs190) : This is turning out to be my favorite item..Basically couple of parottas topped with loads of gravy and a few fried chicken pieces..Later wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed...The cooking in a banana leaf makes the paratha to soak in the flavors well...The looks are quite welcoming too and dish i would recommend time and time again..Coconut Pudding : A coconut panacotta kind of a dish with subtle taste of the tender coconut..Light on the stomach to finish the meal with..With a spread which had items one better than the other and many items that i would recommend..Adding it with the trust i have on copper kitchen i must say this will be on my favorite list for sure..The Copper Kitchen Kotturpuram outlet has definitely impressed me for sure..Must try and Recommended
