Worst Mumbai cutting chai I ever had.. there is no proper service..... the place is not clean and rates r really high.. no happiness in visiting this useless place

Bad service. Very unappealing place. Seems like an abandoned cafe is started again. Half the things you wish to order are unavailable..and the servers don't seem to understand what you say.. the cutlery is old and they serve the black coffee cold..

Cuppa is another one of the many cafe franchises that are there in Bangalore. Though the place is close by to my place, I had never been to it. Now that my office is also in JPN, my team had a timeout meeting here on last Friday. Although the place is located on the main road, it is huge with both outside and inside seating. Each table outside has got an umbrella which will help you sit in moderate rains. The think I liked about the outside seating is how green the surrounding was. Lots of plants around, but then again it is covered so much that it may feel shady too.
We were a big group, so we decided to sit inside as we could feel like sitting at one big table. Being a huge coffee fan and also never having to tried the place, I chose something fancy called Shady Brazil Mogiana Coffee which is a cold coffee with Brazilian coffee beans. Many of my team mates took Dark fantasy Shake-la-vani and Dark fantasy choco shake. My cold coffee was bitter sweet and tasted good, but the unsolicited amount of crushed ice spoiled the taste of it a little. I tasted my friend's Dark fantasy shake and was surprised by it's bitterness as I thought the chocolate, ice cream and the oreo would add more sweetness to it. And this caffeine was more strong compared to my Brazilian cold coffee, which I thought was weird. We also ordered couple of mocktails, but I couldn't try it as I was on the far side of the table. Off the snacks, we ordered fried and potato wedges. The plain fries tasted good, but the chat masala added to it induced a taste which we could not enjoy along with the coffee. The wedges were better and potato inside was cooked.
The place is touch expensive than other cafe's and their service was also sloppy, even though there were only two or three tables in whole. The saving grace for the place here is the fresh and lovely ambiance which makes me want to try out the place again. Probably a hot coffee and a sandwich will do better the next time.
