There are very few restaurants in town who would serve you authentic malvani/ Konkani cuisine. This restaurant does this thing absolutely amazing. They have a very wide menu right from fried stuff,Thalis, tandoori stuff, etc.
Their ambience is very sober and sweet.
Some of the dishes we tried here were delicious. Coming to the food, the Ghee roast prawns very spicy and too much flavourful. Bombil fry was a bit oily but crunchy at the same time. Best dish i found was their Tawa Pomfret Fry, it was very tasty and the fish was fresh. The Tisrya thali was also good. Their masalas are what make the food tasty ????.
We also had sukka crab or crab masala. First time in my life i had crabs which were so tasty.
We ended all of this with Gajar halwa my all time favourite dessert.
Had ana amazing spread of seafood at this Pure seafood restaurant. Yes, pure seafood, they don't serve meat.
Definitely try out their steamed fish - Frankly, I was quite sceptical looking at it. I generally prefer fried fish. But, to my surprise I liked it so much.
Shell fish Thali - Go for any thali for that matter. I went for shell fish. The spices were on point, very flavourful. They serve it with some Kardi, fish curry, solkadi, rice roti and some yum chutneys.
Ghee roast prawns - a pretty spicy dish, a thick chilli paste was slathered over the prawns. Fiery hot it was.
End your meal with some Gajar ka Halwa - Made with desi ghee, it's so aromatic and gives you the satisfaction.
A must visit place for all seafood lovers out there.
When someone says Sea Food, I never say No to that offer, that's how is my relation to it. It has been my favourite cuisine for a very very long time and somehow I am never tired of it. Each experience with this cuisine is new and there is always something here that surprises me. So was also the experience at Coastal Feast.
This newly opened restaurant is totally worth your money and it can be said that it is one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. I did visit this restaurant quiet recently and got the opportunity to try out a few dishes here. So now let me run you through what I had and how I liked it :
Steamed Fish : Wrapped and steamed in a banana leaf this dish was quiet a surprise. It was coated with spinach and coriander paste and mildly spiced, which took me a few seconds to get accustomed to the taste. But once in, I could not put it away till it was wiped clean off the plate. Something different, something new worth trying.
Ghee Roast Prawns : This one is not for the faint hearted. Super Hot and yet super delicious. If you do enjoy spicy food like me, I would suggest you try this. And for the ones who cannot handle a lot a spice, you can team this up with a class of Solkadi which helps in cutting down the Hot flavour.
Tawa Pomfret Fry : The Classic - The Best. If you do not want to experiment with new dishes, then go for this one or any other Fish from the tawa fry options. Its classic, carrying the right amount of spices, nicely fried and tasty.
Bombil (Deep Fried) : I wasn't very happy with this dish, as I specifically found it to be extremely oily. Even after it was brought out onto the plate. I could still see the oil oozing out of it. So maybe if you ordering it, you should ask them to be a little cautious about that.
Crab Sukha/Masala : This dish stole my heart. The juicy Crab cooked perfectly with red masala was the most delicious dish among all here. It comes with enough masala, so that you can easily pair it with Roti or Rice.
Tisrya/Shell Fish Thali : I was extremely happy to see this Thali here because I have not found many restaurants in the city that serve Shell Fish Thali. Served with 6 more different bowls of currys, chutneys, dried fish and Salad, this Thali is a delight to the taste buds. If you aren't a fan of Shell Fish you can order other Thalis of Surmai, Ravas, Prawns etc..
Gajar Ka Halwa : After all these spices, treat yourself to the warm and super delicious Gajar ka Halwa. Your taste buds will thank you for this sweet gesture .
P.S. : A special mention to the Chutney served along with the appetizers and Thali. They are some of the best ones I have tasted in town.
