Our stay at Ocean Palms Goa, just a short 5-minute stroll from Calangute Beach, proved to be ideal. A very sad experience...went with family to enjoy afternoon at the beach and have lunch at the shack.....the first thing the staff says that sitting is chargeable...I said we will have food also...he says that we have to order for minimum Rs1000 bill...what??????...went to the owner inside to ask if it is true as never had this kind of demannd at any shack lined up on candolim beach...he also stuck to same demand....I left immediately and sat at nearby Fishermans hut which was very welcoming...thank god I did...later found that food was much better....never visit this kind of shacks.....by the time I left Fishermans hut in the evening they had 60% occupancy....I passed by Coast cafe and they had 20% occupancy...wirh that kind of attitude no wonder they stay empty most of the time
