Yesterday, 11th February 2026, we went to Hotel Capitol to celebrate my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary at Culinary Co. Kitchen & Bar, a place they like and that we’ve visited before. On arrival, we were told that the restaurant had been under maintenance since morning. This was upsetting because we had made a table booking in the afternoon and had confirmation. The staff said it may not have been updated properly on Google by the restaurant team. The hotel staff was rude and had given no clear information earlier in the afternoon when we had called, saying the hotel and restaurant numbers are different. There is clearly no coordination between the hotel and its in-house restaurant. Since other platforms (Zomato and District) showed no availability, we planned the evening based on this booking and had to leave disappointed. Thankfully no payment was taken, but the experience spoiled a very special family occasion.
