A novelty idea
Plating was decently attempted
Dessert was good
Not so good:
10 courses had 1 mocktail, 1 dessert. 6 of the remaining 8 courses had cheese!! It does not take much effort to make food tasty with cheese. So for me to take this place seriously they've to reduce cheese to 1-2 courses.
Course arrival may test your patience.
The environmentalist in me says, too much plate wastage (read water) for too little food.
Does not have repeat visit appeal.
They had some strange deep fried containers made out of dough to hold small portions of curry which nobody would eat hence a lot of dough wasted. Sinful and stupid.
The staff was polite and they walked us thru the different options.
We especially liked the Mexican bread burrito appetizer and the saffron desert.
This is by far among the best and most well crafted boutique dinner I have visited.
Classe by Cooking Culture is a Vegetarian fine dining restaurant in Kalyani Nagar which is based on the concept of set menu. Seldom we find the terms vegetarian & fine dining together and to make poor (pun intended) vegetarians happy Classe has gone overboard to design the menu.
Ambiance:
Dark but well lit with tables separated by metallic mesh curtains, Definitely will give you a feel of sophistication.
Service:
Well dressed, polite & keeps an eye on you for any queries or orders. They explain the dishes before serving them.
Food:
Depending up on the hunger, you can chose from 7, 10, 15 & 21 courses (yes 21!!!). For a 7 course meal the menu is set but you have wide range of options for all courses in 10, 15 & 21. We have opted for 7 & 10 course meal considering how hungry we were that day. But I bet, you won't be able to complete your entire 7 course meal too. There are so many intermediate/complimentary serving between the next servings which make you more than full.
Each servings come with a different style of plating and I would say crafted well to impress anyone with no compromise on taste (I must say). Though the portions in first look seems to be tiny but at the end of the entire 7/10 course of meal, you are too full to move even.
And the special effort they have given to make my evening more special is surprise Anniversary cake.. Too yummy to melt in your mouth. Thank you so much team.
