I stayed at Sandal Suites, Operated by Lemon Tree Hotels, Noida from 3rd to 15th December under a corporate relocation booking. Due to an unforeseen family medical emergency, I was unable to check in on the scheduled start date (1st December) and checked in on the 3rd instead. The stay was fully utilized thereafter. Despite this, the hotel marked the first two nights as a no-show and charged INR 14,490 as retention fees. What was most disappointing was the lack of any proactive communication from the hotel prior to applying these charges, even for a long-term, bill-to-company reservation. Even after sharing medical documentation, the hotel refused to reconsider the charges, citing standard procedures, and later offered a complimentary dinner instead of addressing the issue. The rigid handling and lack of empathy in an exceptional situation make this a stay I would not recommend for corporate or relocation guests.
