I tried Cinnamon which is a restaurant in Trident Hotel in Chennai on Deepavali day. The restaurant is on the lobby level at the far end . The moment we entered we were welcomed very warmly by the staffs and ushered into the restaurant. Being a festival day the restaurant was pretty empty but the restaurant was well designed and the ambiance was excellent. We ordered for Fish N Chips and Spaghetti Pesto. The Spaghetti Pesto was so very dry that could not be eaten without a side dish. The Fish N Chips were ok. The food did not blow my mind or massage my pallet. What blew my mind were the staffs in the restaurant. They were very concerned that I was not very happy with the food and with the help of the chef tried to set right the Spaghetti what i got was a Spaghetti which was drowned in Olive Oil. I just about managed to finish this dish. My take is that since it was Deepavali majority of the staffs must have been off . The restaurant must have managed the show with low staff count. The chef came to the table with a set of desserts to smoothen a slightly ruffled feathers. I will try this place again to ensure the quality of food and true justice is done. A huge shout out to the staffs who were wonderful.
