Chutney Restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have visited. It is located inside a complex/mall in Mangalore. I visited this place with a friend on a Saturday night. Even though the crowd was a bit high, we were able to get a table quickly. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes across different categories such as North Indian, South Indian, starters, juices, and more. We ordered Onion Kulcha, Paneer Masala, soup, and Paneer Manchurian. The taste of all the dishes was very good, and the quantity served was quite generous—definitely more than enough for normal eaters. The ambience was pleasant and well maintained. Although the prices may seem slightly expensive, they are justified by the ambience, quality and quantity of food, taste, hygiene, and service. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience and a place worth visiting in Mangalore. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience with good lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. We ordered a variety of dishes including soups, masala papad, paneer ghee roast, mushroom uruval, a veg platter, kulcha with three types of curries, dosas, and noodles. Unfortunately, none of the dishes impressed us in terms of taste. Most items felt basic and lacked freshness, which was disappointing considering the premium pricing. The paneer ghee roast was just about average and the only item that was somewhat acceptable. Service was very slow, adding to the overall dissatisfaction. Overall, the experience was not enjoyable and did not meet expectations, especially for the price. Not recommended for those who value good taste.
