I’ve been a Chandrabindoo fan since my school days and first heard of Chung Wah through their iconic 'Sweetheart'... Despite attending college near Esplanade, this legendary spot somehow never made it to my bucket list... It took me 10 years post-college to finally step into this 130-year-old eatery (According to a waiter)... They are one of the few eateries that have kept the cabin style decor alive... Each cabin comes with a unique name (got a seat in 'Pranadhikeshu') that will surely make you smile... Chung Wah is a nice spot for some solitude and a quiet drink Food-wise, I had the Chung Wah Special Fried Rice and Roasted Chilli Pork (Wanted to order Peking Pork but it wasn’t available)... The pork, with its smokey flavour, was the star of the meal, while the Fried Rice did its job well...
