Today we visited Chopsticks Restaurant in Behala, and to be honest, I don’t have any extraordinary words for this place. There’s nothing particularly bad about it, but at the same time, nothing really stands out either. Overall, it’s just an average restaurant — the kind you can easily skip unless you’re already in the Behala area. If you’re traveling from afar, I’d say it’s not worth the trip because there’s no special “X-factor” here. Let’s break it down. The Positives The quantity is impressive. One plate of rice can easily serve two people, and both chicken and fish dishes come with around 8 pieces, which is quite generous. The price is also very reasonable, so college students or anyone looking for a budget-friendly meal might find it okay — especially if taste isn’t their top priority. The Negatives Now, the main issue. The service is too fast — uncomfortably fast. We had barely started our starter (Chicken Schezwan) when the staff came rushing with the main course! It completely ruined the dining rhythm and made the whole experience feel rushed and chaotic. I also didn’t find the surroundings very hygienic. The place could definitely use better cleanliness and maintenance. Our Order & Experience 1. Chicken Schezwan (Starter) The gravy was decent and flavorful, but the chicken itself didn’t feel fresh. There was a slight smell, and the pieces were tough — almost rubbery — making them difficult to cut with a fork and spoon. 2. Egg Chicken Fried Rice Quantity-wise, great. But taste-wise, very muted — no standout flavor, no real Chinese aroma. Just a basic, subtle fried rice. 3. Chicken Kung Pao The gravy had a nice flavor balance, but again, the chicken was hard and lacked that juicy, tender bite you’d expect in a well-cooked Kung Pao dish. 4. Chilli Fish Honestly, this was disappointing. I didn’t enjoy the taste or texture at all, and I’d recommend avoiding fish items here. Final Verdict If you’re a local, you can give this place a try once. But if you’re not from Behala, I wouldn’t suggest traveling just to eat here. Don’t go by the overly positive reviews on social media — it’s an average restaurant with okay food, reasonable prices, but nothing exceptional to remember. I’ve added photos of the dishes and menu — do check them out for a better idea. That’s all for now — I’ll be back soon with another honest review. Until then, stay safe, eat healthy, and take care!
