My love for seeraga samba biriyani and dalcha ends here, combo of fish mutton sukka, juice are heaven. Biriyani lover can go and enjoy

Cholan Mess , OMR Always wanted to try the huge bananawafe platter i mean mapillai virundhu, Kalyana virundhu, mamiyar virundhu kinda named feast. This was in my bucket list since Carnival restaurant launched their virundhu menu. This cholan mess also has its own virundhu menu. Since it is a dinner time taught of going to ala carte . Cholan mess has many branches in chennai. I once had their biriyani (takeaway,) from Ashok Nagar branch it was good. Usually in OMR i prefer thalapalatti, thoraipakkam branch for a change went here . The ambiance was great. A retro style themed restaurant which had some cine paintings aslo old switches . Seating capacity is also good. . Our orders: Mutton Biriyani (250 INR): The stealer here . A very Flavorful seeraga sambha Biriyani with less irritants and geeish coating on rice. The mutton pieces where super tender and good. Had around 4-5 medium sized pieces. Served with Kozhupu dalcha ( was good with mutton fat floating all around ) and raitha.The portions is good for a eater . Varuthu Aracha Prawns:Spicy side dish . Medium sized prawns tossed in Chettinad masala. Tge prawns where fresh and soft. The infusion of curry leaves well dominated the dish . Chicken Soup (75 INR): Was okaisj. Chicken stock water loaded with pepper. . Mutton Kari dosai (150 INR): Good. The batter was sour and yummy. The topping could have been better and the Mutton here was super flavourful . Parota (20/PC): Soft and fresh . Served along with saalna. Salna was good ( felt a little sweetish side due to over coco milk but had the flavour of a pakka oor style saalna. Not thick. Requested a spicy salna and they got me one which was good) . overall saalna part it was cat on the wall . Serva Kalakki(45 INR):Big kalakki totally satisfied for the ending . Overall a good place for biriyani . All of the above i would say biriyani tops the list then followed by kalakki and prawn side dish.The service was good but the management was not like tough. Totally 1000+ for all the dishes including a mutton biriyani parcel . . Sambhavam Thodarum
