If you want to try some delicious coffee, this confectionary restaurant is a decent choice for you. The energetic staff welcomes guests all year round. From the guests' point of view, prices are reasonable.
We just wandered into chocolate junction today and it was very different from what I had expected.
The place is full of really cute things like gift boxes and a LOT of chocolate options.
I bought a bunch of really pretty boxes which are very reasonably priced and we tried a few different chocolates.
The printed Chocolates are such beauties. So gorgeous and taste great too, however, the egg shaped chocolate is the one to try! It has a strawberry centre and is delicious!
Can't wait to be back!
If you are around ulsoor lake , right beside the Costa Coffee - you can spot the chocolate junction board.Follow it and inside is a little chocolaty hideout.
I have been visiting this place, for the past 8-9 years. Usually, every year on "dashami" that is the last day of the #durgaPuja , we wait for our idol's turn, for immersion. Had we been in kolkata , usually the immersion is followed by "mishti mukh" or sweets - in absence of a sweet shop and now as a ritual we visit this place , pick up assorted chocolates and carry on the tradition.
I love the fact that they have so many varieties to choose from. One can pick up as many as they want, there is no minimum weight one needs to buy.
I particularly loved the bitter ones , which started 70% and above. They also make lovely personalized chocolates, which in my opinion , can become the cynosure of any event. It is an amazing gift too.
Recently, on a Sunday evening - I finally managed to say "hello" to the couple who runs this place - Mr.Mysore Lakshman Amarnath & his better half, who is the actual driving force and be part of an informal "adda" in his "drawing room" . They spoke about their start , the journey so far, their friends who helped them improve their products. It was interesting to hear stories of the famous personalities who have visited this place or stories of common people , how chocolates from chocolate junction has been a saving grace to them. These anecdotes really made me feel - that so much can happen around a shop or a product , however, minuscule the size of operation it be.
Home made chocolates!
Its a small shop located on the ground floor right opposite to Ulsoor Lake entrance.
The small bites are expensive. So we settled for the Heart Shaped Chocolate and Brownie and Rum Ball.
The brownie was Rs. 30/- and tasted good.
The Rum Ball was not that great.
