Chirping Tales Cafe in Mukteshwar is a picturesque and aesthetically pleasing cafe with amazing views of the Kumaon hills. It offers a diverse menu ranging from Indian to Chinese to Continental food. The food quality and taste is superb and the presentation is very thoughtful and nice. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the valleys. Prices are decent, similar to most cafes. The staff is friendly, smiling and courteous. The cafe also sells local produce of jams, chutneys, teas and grains which can be bought. The signature dishes like carrot cake, French toast, pancakes, ramen soup and veg tortilla pizza must be tried when visiting. The cafe also has a separate small cafe offering drinks like coffee, shakes and juices. It is a great place to relax and have good food with an amazing view. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mukteshwar!
Read such great reviews on so many blogs and travel sites and went to Chirping tales cafe with high expectations.
Don’t trust the reviews.
The experience was completely opposite.
The food is horrible. The omelette and scrambled eggs were bland, so were the sandwiches. No amount of condiments could make them better. The pancakes and waffles were so dense and chewy, the mouth ached after having one bite. The portions were tiny, they gave Half a waffle and small bowl of bland Maggi.
The only saving grace was the carrot cake which was good (it’s from Mukteshwar bakery, which is a separate establishment).
Would not recommend anyone to go here as the food is beyond terrible and the prices are ridiculously exorbitant.
Will not recommend to anyone.
