Beeghahua Kulcha" is a must try in dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended for breakfast buffet! Also the staff is super sweet and courteous!"
Grand Trunk, located at Taj Swarna in Amritsar, is a great spot to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. With a wide range of dishes available, from breakfast to dinner, there is something for everyone. The restaurant is well known for its Beeghahua Kulcha dish which is highly recommended by Chef Vipin Singh. The staff are incredibly hospitable and accommodating, especially Chef Ajay who packed us breakfast pastries and sandwiches at 4:45AM. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with a variety of dishes including fruits, muesli, flavoured curds, cheese platter, live South Indian food counter, pancakes, waffle, cereal bar, and local delicacies like chana puri. The on demand Amritsari Kulcha with assortment of pickles is also a star of the show. Jain options are also available for vegetarians. For dessert, the mango kulfi is a must-try. The service is fast and friendly, making it a great spot for families. All in all, Grand Trunk is an excellent choice for a meal in Amritsar.
Not at all Taj Standards. Food tastes average and service is ordinary . Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,200–1,400 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Went there for dinner a month ago they did not even have table Napkins they gave paper napkins instead. The servers did not have knowledge about what's served in the menu leading us to order the wrong dish ( I asked the base sauce for the spinach and deta ravioli - the serve told us it was tomato sauce - it obviously wasn't) . That would have been ok for a normal local restaurant but the reason someone goes to Taj is to get better service. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Hot Tomato Basil Soup
The Grand Trunk is the primary restaurant of the 5 star Taj hotel in Amritsar. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff is always polite and considerate. The open kitchen lets you enjoy the chefs doing their work. The food selection is typical North Indian along with some items thrown in for the mix. The dishes are well prepared, flavorful and visually appealing. Quality is obviously top notch.
