If you want to taste Chinese food, take your chance and come to this restaurant. Many guests come to enjoy perfectly cooked Dim sum, fried wontons and fried prawns. I have been visiting Gopalapuram China Town restaurant for over 20 years. Fantastic food, service and selections. Nothing comes close to the sweet corn chicken soup of this place. Fried ice-cream is their signature dish, absolute best. These 2 dishes alone easily make it worth visiting the restaurant. Chicken fried rice is so nice, juicy and flavorful that you can eat it by itself without a gravy. I think they were the first to introduce Chicken lollipop in Chennai back in the day. They keep it up the same all along, still superb. Honey garlic chicken for starters and chicken with Chinese greens are super tasty and can be nice dishes for those who like it less spicy. They have renovated the elevator and entrance, it is modern now. The only thing I would perhaps improve is the pipes and A/C dutcs, msy be they could make a bit less visible. Nevertheless the ambiance, mild background music, decor and lighting are all very nice. I would suggest visiting the restaurant in person over ordering delivery. The dine in experience is worth it. The food, taste, ambiance and serving make it a memorable visit.
