CHINA CLUB – INDIGO HOUSE, GURUGRAM – OCT 15, 2025 (Price for 4 – Rs 12,000)It was Piali’s birthday – the 1st one with her granddaughter, SAYURI (and, incidentally, where the whole family was there – Ria, Pratik and Sayuri, Sunny, Piali and Me). Her children decided to treat her to lunch, and Oh boy, it was a lunch to remember at The China Club, Gurugram.The first time you enter China Club – awe sets in -the place is huge, décor a muted elegance, seating comfortable and the staff everwilling to help.We went with the recommendation of the gentleman assigned to us; starters included Chicken Lao Ganma – small pieces of boneless chicken fried just right and served up with herbs, Pork Dumplings – succulent, juicy, could have been better and Sauted Prawn Chilli – surely the king of the dishes! Mains were a portion of Home Style Sliced Chicken with Black Fungus (superbly done), a couple of portions of Sauted Sliced Lamb with Asparagus in Black Pepper Sauce (heavenly) and a portion of Vegetable Noodles (a substantive helping).One of the best lunches in NCR!

Vegetable dish had only sauce and few chopped vegetable, taste was quite bad. The Prawns were batter fried instead of braised, sauce had no flavor.
