The place being historically popular serves true to its legacy. While the podi dosa was delicious.. i will rate sambhar as the most average sambhar I have ever had. Idly was fine and rawa dosa was okay. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

We had a fantastic meal at Chidambaram's New Madras Hotel. The food was truly delicious and full of authentic South Indian flavours. The South Indian Thali was wholesome and satisfying, while the dosa was perfectly crisp and paired beautifully with flavourful chutneys and sambar. The complimentary rasam was outstanding—warm, flavourful, and a great way to start the meal. The prices are very reasonable, offering excellent value for money without compromising on taste or quality. If you’re in search of authentic South Indian food at an affordable price, Chidambaram's New Madras Hotel is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
