Chetan Swadisht Kachori is a popular budget–friendly eating place for anyone looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast or snack in Dehradun. Located in the Paltan Bazar area, in close proximity to the Dehradun Railway station. This small shop is usually bustling with customers eager to dig into the food. It is right behind the Shri Hanuman Mandir. Due to this, it is crowded on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and of course all day on Sunday. The name of the shop suggests it serves Kachoris, which is not the case. What they have is a thali with an assortment of sabzis like Chole, Aloo Sabzi, Sitaphal/ Kaddu, and one dry sabzi. This is accompanied by flavourful Poori / Bedmi Poori. They also have unsalted Boondi Raita on the menu, however, that is separately chargeable. One can dine – in or get food packed to go. They have a few sweet items like kheer, ladoos and hot gulab jamuns. The prices are reasonable, the food is ok, however, parking is a big issue there and the place is crammed. Give it a try if you are in Dehradun, especially if you are looking for an early breakfast.
