I recently visited Chembarathi restaurant in Kothamangalam with a friend, but unfortunately, our experience was below par. I ordered the Chattichor, while my friend opted for Chapathi and Beef Curry. The Chattichor had overcooked meat, which was a letdown. The masala was also unbalanced, affecting the overall flavor. Specifically, some dishes within the Chattichor seemed undercooked or unevenly cooked, indicating a need for improvement in consistency. My friend's Beef Curry had similar issues with overcooked meat. Considering the prices, we expected better quality and taste. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. The restaurant seemed overpriced compared to the quality of food served. This discrepancy between price and quality was quite noticeable, and it added to our disappointment. However, one positive aspect of our visit was the cleanliness maintained by the restaurant. The tables, floors, and restrooms were clean, which showed that the management prioritizes hygiene. This is definitely a strong point for the restaurant. Overall, our experience at Chembarathi Restaurant was disappointing. The lack of consistency in cooking and the unbalanced flavors were major letdowns. To improve, they need to work on cooking consistency, ensuring dishes are well-cooked and flavorful. Ensuring even cooking of meat in dishes like Chattichor is crucial, and balancing flavors would enhance the overall taste.
