Not only should Pancha Rathas be visited, but also Chariot Beach Resort. You will hardly forget great tea that you can enjoy. It's easy to find this bar due to its convenient location. Chariot Beach Resort is recommended for the terrific staff. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. Here you will pay good prices. The spectacular atmosphere makes a good impression on customers. This place scored 4 in the Google rating system.

Excellent service and ambience , Complimentary breakfast is good. The swimming pool here is top notch... but they need to fix the bottom of the pool ASAP. From the moment I arrived at Chariot Beach Resort, I felt a deep sense of peace and luxury. The property is vast, beautifully maintained, and opens right onto a stunning stretch of beach soft sand, clean waves, and pure serenity. The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive. Every interaction felt genuine and full of care. Special thanks to the front desk and housekeeping and restaurant staffs for making everything seamless. My room was spacious, spotless, and perfectly comfortable, with a lovely view and the sound of the ocean in the background. The pool area is a total highlight ideal for both relaxation and fun. And the food? Outstanding. Every meal at their restaurants was fresh, flavorful, and served with grace. The seafood in particular was a standout. The resort is perfectly located near all of Mahabalipuram’s major sights like the Shore Temple and Five Rathas—which made exploring effortless. But honestly, just being on the property itself is an experience. Whether you’re coming to unwind, explore heritage, or just escape into nature, this place delivers. I left feeling recharged, inspired, and already dreaming of my next visit. Highly, highly recommended. Service: 4

Fooled by the 4 star rating of the property in Google. Place was spacious and green and easy access to beach. We stayed in poolside cottage, the room was clean and spacious (5 star for that) but enter bathroom it's definitely 0 star, old and stained. Wife and kids were complaining the water is stagnant and not draining freely. Inhouse restaurant is costly, we went out mostly and had good seafood. Swimming pool was large and water clean but the under tiles need relaying and they were recommending kids to wear under water shoes (which was provided for free). Definitely not worth the premium price, possibly will never visit this place again. Service: 2
