With its new location on Church Street, Chalukya Samrat offers a modern interpretation of classic Bengaluru, boasting a sleek and contemporary atmosphere, as well as a diverse menu that includes both South and North Indian cuisine. I opted for their signature dishes, kicking off with the legendary Ghee Roast Masala Dosa. The dosa's crispy texture and rich flavor were elevated by the addition of a tangy red chutney, which added both visual appeal and a unique taste dimension. Just be aware that it's very filling. The Masala Puri (chaat) was an absolute highlight ! Even though I was full by then, I couldn’t resist and polished it off. The OG filter coffee was a great way to round off the meal, offering a potent and aromatic finish. The only con, as expected in this prime area, is the price tag, which is a bit higher and will likely leave a dent in your finances, but the location does command higher prices. This place is definitely worth visiting, especially for the amazing dosa and filter coffee. Goli Bajje: A delightful snack with a crispy outer layer and a soft, fluffy inside.The slight tanginess, combined with the chutney, makes it a perfect tea-time treat. Ghee Masala Dosa: A well-balanced dosa with a crispy golden crust infused with the richness of ghee. The potato masala filling is flavorful, complementing the dosa perfectly.
