We four brave souls went there for what was supposed to be a late lunch but, thanks to the restaurant’s definition of “soon,” ended up having an early dinner. We waited one hour and thirty minutes after ordering — and every time we asked how much longer, the answer was the same: “Just five minutes.” I suspect those five minutes were running on another planet’s time zone. Meanwhile, other diners were also waiting, wearing the same hopeless expression as us. Some even left — probably the smart ones. We almost joined them, but we’d already invested too much emotional energy in this tragedy. Now, for the real entertainment. Four people, two glasses. When we politely asked for two more, they claimed they had run out of glasses. Yes, apparently a restaurant can go bankrupt on glassware. Their grand solution? Paper cups. Disposable paper cups in a place that tries to look “posh.” Imagine sipping overpriced food from something that feels like it came free with street-side tea. Speaking of overpriced — the food cost enough to make you believe it came with a personal chef. Unfortunately, what we got seemed to be prepared by someone who had just watched a cooking video halfway. The lime chicken was bitter — not metaphorically, but literally, thanks to the lime skin mixed right in. The chicken and paneer were drowning in so much watery gravy that we could have rented a lifeboat. And then, the grand finale — hair in the food. At that point, I wasn’t sure whether to scream or just accept it as part of the dish’s “texture.” To top it all, there was just one waitress managing the entire restaurant, doing her best to keep chaos in check. Most tables were still covered with leftover food — perhaps a modern art exhibit called “Aftermath of Service.” In summary: Great ambience if you like waiting, swimming in gravy, and discovering surprise ingredients. One star — only because zero isn’t an option. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Centre Point Restaurant (Hotel Red Rose) is located at Joyguru stoppage near IIT Guwahati close to Agthori Railway Station The Restaurant along with their hotel is located on 1st floor with exquisite decors and lavish infrastructure which is no less than a 3-star banquet. They also have a reserved banquet hall for parties Coming to the service, the staffs are okay but need to be more professional and well trained in Hindi & English to communicate with Non-Assamese people easily. Other than that, they are decent enough. They have a elaborated menu with both Chinese and Tandoor items available from which you can choose according to your desires We ordered Tandoor and Indian items which was served a bit lately post ordering but was quite good in quality. The items were moderately priced slightly on the higher side but was good enough to cope up with the quantity as well. I have visited this outlet earlier before also and I can assure that they have been trying to maintain their quality Well taste is subjective to people but you can defintely opt here for trying out food if you are nearby IIT Guwahati area !! Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
