Decided to ditch the “free” lounge today at IGI as the food at Carnatic Cafe looked so sumptuous and inviting. Ordered Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee. Dosa dripping with oil and filled with lots of flavorless filling. All three chutneys lacked even a hint of the original taste. Sambhar too watery. Hot coffee served in a glass bottle. Loud order calling. Overall an absolutely disappointing experience. Presentation of the food was good and the only saving grace for this cafe. Had the Mysore masala Dosa and a filter coffee. The Dosa was so disappointing because it was so thick and the masala, served separately was also very very bland. One of the chutneys was too sweet and the combination of low-viscosity sambhar and thick Dosa was really a terrible combination, in my opinion. The coffee was average, not too bad. The service took 10 minutes longer than they told us and everything at the service counter was extremely chaotic. Bad experience overall Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

If you are looking for authentic south Indian food in north India, Carnatic Cafe is the place to be. Authentic taste and the food is cooked in ghee. We tried the Set Dosa and Butter milk and were longing for more! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
