Hygiene is word that is missing from cappuccino blast. The tables were extremely dirty and previously served food was visibly stuck on it. The lowest point of the whole night was the sticky food spilled on the menu. The condiments kept on the table were covered in food oil and dirt. The staff were confused amongst themselves and distracted most of the time. After repeatedly calling upon a waiter to take the order, one did come but with absolutely no idea of the menu. The staff had no serving etiquettes like when to stop pouring onto the glass or even clean the table. The food was alright but the overall ambience was missing. The most of the furniture was either broken and fixed with tape. Tables were infiltrated with houseflies and mosquitoes even after being an enclosed space. The kitchen was exposed and because of the heat from the kitchen, the ac also did not work. The washrooms were horribly dirty. The cappuccino blast opened 20 years back has truly blasted from existence. At one time when it was Lucknow’s first cafe, now it’s probably not even a café anymore. Yesterday I came to cappuccino blast mall avenue road around 7:45-8pm for celebrating my son’s first birthday. I distributed half of the cake to other guests and clearly told the waiter to parcel half of the cake, at the time of leaving the cafe, waiter didn’t hand over me the left over cake, and due to hurry burry I forgot to take it. Noon time when I called the cafe, they said why didn’t I ask the waiter to give., they started blaming me for their mistake. As per my knowledge and experience so far, if I tell waiter to parcel my leftover, their duty is to keep it on the table at the time of billing or before that. But staff is not even ready to accept the mistake rather they are blaming me for not reminding them. Now, coming to the point, what I received was in a pathetic and unhygienic manner, clearly it is visible they have eaten the cake or just thrown it somewhere and after my reminder call, they have managed to put it back in some strange box and top of that, they pasted it with newspaper, I mean who does that!! They didn’t even handover it with basic packaging. I literally didn’t even eat a single spoon of cake not even my family members and what I received is in such a poor condition. I paid Rs.3500 for this cake and none of my family members ate it. highly disappointed with the unprofessional behaviour of your staff. This unprofessional behaviour and lack of hygiene must be known to other people too.
