Overall, Calicut Biriyani Hut in Madurai has a range of Kerala dishes that cater to the tastes of many. Customers have generally enjoyed their dishes, particularly the parota/roti and beef curry, as well as their Kunafa. The only downside is that the smoke from the kitchen sometimes comes into the dining area. The menu also includes chicken biryani, rumali roti, butter chicken, BBQ chicken, ghee rice with beef fry, beef roast, chapathi, vellapam chicken curry, fruit pudding and beef shawarma. Some customers have noted that the chicken in the biriyani is hard to eat and that the restaurant adds ajinomoto in their food, which is not ideal for health-conscious individuals. Additionally, some customers have complained about the low quality and taste of the food. In conclusion, Calicut Biriyani Hut in Madurai offers traditional Kerala cuisine at a decent price and with a welcoming staff, however it is best to be aware of the potential health risks before ordering.
