Very disappointing experience at Calcutta Chat, R.S. Puram (Coimbatore). I went to have pani poori and waited for almost 15 minutes even though there was no queue. The person serving completely ignored me and two others (all South Indians), while continuing a long conversation with another customer (North Indian). When we asked politely, he responded rudely saying, “If you want, wait and eat. If not, go.” No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. This felt like clear discrimination, which was really hurtful. Even the shop owner didn’t bother to address or apologize for the behavior. We are paying customers and deserve basic respect and equal service. Extremely disappointed — hope the management takes this seriously and ensures such incidents never happen again.
