Came to Calamari Goa for a nice family dinner and although the service was nice and the atmosphere is good - but the food was a little iffy. I ordered the raw papaya salad which was okay at best, the papaya part was nice and crunchy but the raw mango used felt slightly slimy and there was not enough dressing therefore the salad was quite bland. The calamari special pizza was nice and the lamb ribs were really good as the spice blend was flavourful and just fell off the bone. The caldine and rice was also rich and delicious. We also ordered the tuna salad which was nice but the tuna was a little bit frozen. One issue that we found with the service is that the waitor made a mistake and gave people in my group the wrong soup and then took over 30 to fix their issue. I understand mistakes can happen but the time it took to rectify th mistake was just too long (sadly we also found the soups we ordered were not that enjoyable) Therefore overall a 3/5 - come for the curries, pizza and ribs but maybe not the salads. Calamari Bathe & Binge is a wonderful place to spend a relaxed evening by the beach. The food was good and the service was prompt and courteous. We were pleasantly surprised by the availability of good vegetarian options as well. The shacks are clean, well maintained, and comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting around 5 PM (pre-sunset). This gives you ample time to enjoy the beach, watch a beautiful sunset, and then have a peaceful dinner at a table facing the sea. Overall, it’s a great spot for families looking for good food, a scenic view, and a calm beachside experience. Highly recommended.
