A line of shaded sun beds just outside made us stop ( no charge if you eat and drink). Staff were very friendly and attentive and all the food and drinks were really up to the mark. Couldn’t be better situated on the beach front. Nearby activities: Everything that a beach has to offer. Walkability: Easy and enjoyable beach walk Food and drinks: Cocktails well made and a large selection of beers and non-alcoholic. Noteworthy details: Plenty of seats in the shade or out of it. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Great value

FAKE GOOD REVIEWS ALERT This place offers people a free beer for 5* reviews. Believe the lower ratings. Owner is rude and arrogant. Misunderstood a situation, berated me for his misinterpretation and when I tried to explain he seemed to get more irate. Pretty atrocious customer service and can only think it’s still going because of the potentially deceptive reviews. That, and the beds/shades are some of the best on the beach and are nice for keeping out the sun.

Cafe del Mar is the most incredible spot, right on Palolem beach with stunning views out over the ocean and great vibes. We stayed for three nights and can't wait to go back. The huts are simple but very clean and comfortable, in a lovely garden setting at the back of the property. The place is light and airy, the food is all absolutely delicious, the service is fantastic, and Kennedy the owner couldn't be more generous or accommodating. Highly recommend! Service: 5
