Not the same xtasi that we visited and liked 2 years back. Have got lot of changes, it used to be out of the world. Was the reason why we planned out trip to Pondy. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: However the staff is very accommodating. They are empathetic. So only marking it as 3 star else would have rated 2 star. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Disappointing Experience at Former Favorite Spot in Auroville I recently visited Cafe Xtasi in Auroville and unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience overall. Despite ordering a variety of dishes, including lemon garlic chicken, mushroom magic pizza, tofu salad, and lemon iced tea, the flavors and quality fell short of expectations. The lemon garlic chicken lacked any discernible taste of garlic or lemon, with the chicken itself being overcooked and tough to chew. It was a far cry from the flavorful and tender dish I had hoped for. Similarly, the lemon iced tea had an overpowering syrupy flavor, indicating a lack of proper dilution. Incorporating lemon slices and fresh mint could have elevated the drink, both in taste and presentation, but unfortunately, these elements were absent. However, it wasn't all negative. The mushroom magic pizza stood out as a highlight, boasting delicious flavors and a satisfying portion size suitable for two people. Additionally, the ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, providing a comfortable setting for dining. Despite these positives, the subpar quality of the majority of the dishes was disappointing, especially considering that it was previously a favorite dining spot of mine in Pondicherry. Regrettably, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend it with the same enthusiasm. :(
