The Tibet Kitchen, near the Golden Temple in Kushalnagar, is one of those places that leaves a memorable impression from the moment you walk in. The restaurant offers a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, which perfectly complements its location close to the monastery. One of the first things you’ll notice is the ample seating area. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or a larger group, there is plenty of space to sit comfortably without feeling crowded. The layout is neat, airy, and allows you to enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace. The food quality is truly commendable. Every dish is prepared with care, and the flavors feel authentic and satisfying. Their Tibetan specials stand out, especially the momos and shapta. The ingredients taste fresh, and the seasoning feels just right — flavorful without being overpowering. You can tell that the kitchen pays attention to both taste and consistency, which is something not every restaurant manages to achieve. As we visited in a group, our order list was huge. We tried chicken red curry momo, chicken fried and steamed momo, chicken meat keema with phing, chicken shabhaley, chicken shapta, chicken manchow soup, stir-fried bok-choy with mushroom, dragon chicken, tingmo and chicken chowmein. The service was a bit let down though. The orders were mixed up and every time a dish was served they kept on checking with us whether all the dishes we ordered were delivered. It is their duty to keep a tab on the orders and dishes delivered. They need to improve upon this. I understand that during rush hours, it can happen but during our visit, it was normal crowd. Overall, The Tibet Kitchen is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Tibetan food in Kushalnagar. With great food quality and a spacious seating area, it’s definitely a restaurant worth visiting after exploring the Golden Temple. Highly recommended!
