The place is situated in kharadi WTC Pune. It looks spacious and got a nice sitting arrangement. Everything we ordered was good but service was really late though the place was empty only two table were filled, rest they managed well. Also the sweet gesture we saw, when the owner celebrated one of his workers birthday by giving him a birthday cake as suprise. Smile on his face was priceless and beautiful, it feels good when people are appreciated at their work space.

Cafe Social Beans is located in WTC, Kharadi.

Recently I was invited for a food tasting at their restaurant.

#Ambience

As you enter the place , you find graffiti related to the theme of socialising.

The cartoons are quite interesting. The lights I felt could be white instead of yellow as the colour scheme of the walls was also the same, which was giving the place a dull look, while cafes should be having a energetic and vibrant look to attract people .

I gave my advice to the owner along with a couple of other points regarding the ambience.

#Service

The service was quite slow given that we were the only customers at that moment.

We were treated nicely though.

#Food

When I looked at the menu, I found the menu to be stuffed up a bit more than required.

This may lead to customers overlooking a section of their menu , which I duly communicated to the owner.

We started with Chocolate shake and Cranberry Mojito. The shake had balanced sweetness and was great, the mojito was also done nicely.

Next we had the following dishes-

Chicken Bruschetta- It had brown bread topped with melted cheese and boiled chicken chunks.

It was crunchy and good in taste.

Harissa Chicken- This was the best dish of the evening. It had boneless chicken slice marinated in harissa sauce and fried to perfection. I loved it.

The sauce accompanied with the dish was finger licking asnd the same sauce was covered over chicken pieces. The sauce had coriander mixed with it.

#MUST_TRY #HIGHLY_RECOMMENDED

I wished to order more of it, but to my dismay I was told that they have run out of chicken.

This was quite disappointing to me and I explained to the owner to iron out such teething issues which plague the restaurants in their nascent stage. As the competition is so tough, I wish they pull up their socks in time.

Egg Kejriwal- I was not quite impressed with this version of Egg Kejriwal , because the combined taste of bun, cheese and eggs was not experienced by me in one go.

So basically, they had buns with a layer of chutney on them. The buns were covered with a half fry omelette sprinkled with cheese chunks and surrounded with egg yolk.

I explained my thoughts to the owner and he acknowledged my idea.

Chilly Cheese Toast- It had brown bread slices topped with melted and baked cheese along with green chilly slices. It was accompanied with tomato sauce and I liked it as it was crunchy.

The best part is that they prepare their own sauces.

In the main course, we had the following

Dal Makhani- This was one of the best Dal Makhani I would have tried in Pune. It was not sweet to my liking. It was creamy and had nice conccotion of spices in it.

The garam masala they use is prepared by themselves which is their USP.

Paneer Butter Masala- This was lip smacking as well as the paneer cubes were fresh and were drowned in delicious flavourful gravy with myriad tastes bursting in unison.

I loved it.

Egg Bhurji- To my utter surprise, the Egg Bhurji was amazing and had actually something different to offer in terms of its taste. The egg was done properly in choicest spices and mixed nicely with onion , tomato and other ingredients.

I ended the meal with a Kiwi Mojito which was good as well.
